Highlights from the December 2014 Kansas City Housing Market Report from the Kansas City Regional Association of REALTORS® and Heartland Multiple Listing Service:

Dec. 2014 average sales price for new & existing homes combined ($196,376) is 3.5 percent higher than Dec. 2013.

There were 2,304 homes sales (new & existing combined) for Dec. 2014 - 0.5 percent higher than Dec. 2013.

Home inventory (new & existing combined) for Dec. 2014 (10,950) is 10.8 percent lower compared to Dec. 2013.

The supply of new and existing homes for Dec. 2014 is 4.1 months - representing a home market slightly favoring sellers.
